It’s Football Food Friday again, which is always my favorite post to write! I have a confession to make about these little Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites – I made them last night, because I was a total slacker this week. You see, I usually make all of my blog recipes on Saturdays, but last Saturday I did a bunch of cleaning that I’d totally been slacking on, so my recipes got pushed to the back burner. So, if you happened to notice that I didn’t post a recipe on Tuesday, that’s the reason why.
Well, last night came around, and I remembered that I had nothing to post for Football Food Friday, and I went into panic mode, and made these. Why do I love them so much? They don’t call for any eggs or milk, two very basic ingredients that our house does not have at the moment. I guess maybe I’ve been slacking on going to the grocery too? Oh, and I also love them because they’re delicious, and seriously how perfect would they be as a 4th quarter sweet treat? So, if anyone else out there is low on basic groceries, might I suggest putting off going to the store for one more night and making these instead?

Makes 10-12 bites
ingredients:
1/3 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp vanilla
1 cup flour
pinch of salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 squares chocolate candy coating
sea salt, if desired
instructions:
Beat together the butter, brown sugar, and vanilla.
Gradually beat in the flour and salt.
Use a spoon to form small balls, and place on a foil-lined baking sheet.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes, then melt the chocolate candy coating for about 1 minute.
Place a sandwich size ziploc bag in a glass, and fold over the top edge. Fill the bag with the melted chocolate, and cut the corner tip of the bag.
Drizzle the melted chocolate over each ball.
Refrigerate for another 15 minutes, then sprinkle with sea salt, if desired. Enjoy!
