TJ and I have been extra busy lately, and we’ve been long overdue for a date night. When you live with someone, it’s easy to get into a routine of feeling like you’re connecting with them (just because you’re there), when really, you’re not doing much connecting at all. I started thinking back to our early days of dating, when every moment we spent together had a purpose, and we were so focused on getting to know every single thing about each other.

Now here we are five years later, working on our third year of marriage, and we mostly know everything there is to know. Don’t get me wrong, I love this stage of our life so much more than when we first started dating, but we do need to make a better effort to actively connect with each other, and date nights are a great way to do that. Since we have been so busy lately, the last thing I wanted to do was go out after a long day (I had my first open house yesterday! Yay for being a Realtor!), so we decided on a romantic night in. We grabbed Chinese takeout and watched some great TV.

Then came my favorite part: we ended the night with something sweet – Lindt HELLO chocolate – aka my new favorite treat ever!

First of all, how cute and trendy is the packaging on this? It’s fun, vibrant, and honestly, it makes me want to eat what’s inside! Now onto the taste – holy cow is this stuff good. We REALLY love chocolate bars in this family, so we bought a full-size Strawberry Cheesecake and Caramel Brownie. Oh, and we also bought a mini-stick bag that’s filled with bite-size pieces of four different flavors: Strawberry Cheesecake, Caramel Brownie, Crunchy Nougat, and Cookies & Cream. Hello, we NEEDED to try all of the flavors! It’s hard to pick a favorite flavor, but I think the Strawberry Cheesecake is my favorite, while TJ really loved the Crunchy Nougat. There’s really a flavor for anyone’s taste.
