Now that Thanksgiving is over, I’m completely zeroed in on all things Christmas and Winter. I don’t really like warm drinks unless I’m really cold, so during these chilly months, I try to drink as many tasty warm treats as possible. This peanut butter cup hot chocolate just might be my new favorite. It tastes kind of like a melted Reese’s cup, aka amazing, and it’s made in a slow cooker, which makes it perfect for serving at holiday parties.
Serves 8-10
ingredients:
1 cup hot chocolate mix
8 cups hot water
3/4 cup chocolate syrup
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
instructions:
Combine the hot chocolate mix and the water in a slow cooker.
Stir in the chocolate syrup.
Cover and cook on low for 2 hours.
Whisk in the peanut butter and vanilla, until smooth.
Ladle into a mug to serve.
Enjoy! It’s extra tasty with whipped cream and chopped mini peanut butter cups.

Now, I’m so excited to introduce you to one of my lovely sponsors, Rachel from Rainy Days and Rubber Ducks! Rachel lives in the Pacific Northwest where she writes about her life.
1. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging about books probably four years ago and started seriously blogging in February
2. What is your go-to dessert recipe?
My go-to recipe is a wine cake:
1 package yellow cake mix
1 package vanilla pudding-not instant
1 teaspoon nutmeg
4 eggs
3/4 cup oil (canola or vegetable)
3/4 cup medium dry sherry
Put all ingredients in a bowl. Beat about 5 minutes. Bake in an angel food pan that has been dusted with sugar. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Cool for ten minutes. Turn out and sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
So easy and yet amazing compliments every time!
3. Tell me about your favorite blog post to date.
My recap of my Hawaii trip!!!!
4. What’s the best thing about the state you live in?
Oregon used to be a good place to be from, now it’s a great place to BE! A bit of everything—mountains and beaches are both forty minutes away and the food is divine!
5. If you could sum up your blog in one word, what would it be?
