Bathroom Makeovers: Before & After

Three months before we met, TJ bought our house at the ripe old age of 23.While most of us were trying to figure out what to do with our post-college lives, my future husband was off buying his first house. It still blows my mind, but he’s a keeper, let me tell ya. Since he bought it, he’s been doing upgrades almost constantly. A lot of the upgrades happened before we got married, so other than helping out with a few things here and there, I haven’t done too much in helping out with around-the-house projects.

This past weekend though, everything changed – we decided to give our bathrooms a makeover, and I was all in to help! In our two full bathrooms, we changed out the hardware to give them a more updated look, and in our half bath, we changed out our medicine cabinet and light fixture. It was actually a lot of fun, and it left us feeling really accomplished! We got everything at Lowe’s, and I felt like we got a good deal on all of the items.

Side note: do any other couples out there have separate bathrooms? Since we have two full bathrooms upstairs, TJ and I each have our own, and it is awesome! If you have the opportunity to have separate bathrooms, go for it – I think that having that personal space does wonders for our marriage.

Ready for the before and after pictures?

Have you done any projects around your house? Tell me about them!

Looove the updates!! Amazing what a few small(ish) changes can do! We recently installed a new sink/vanity in our bathroom and I’m trying to finish up the ‘extras’ in there now. We updated our curtain rod but they were out of the matching towel rod/TP holder for awhile and still waiting to buy those haha!
