White Chocolate Mochas

2014-1-20-048-edited-withtextUp until about 3 years ago, I wouldn’t touch coffee with a 10 foot pole. I just didn’t care for the taste, and I wasn’t interested in changing my tune. Then, one day in the spring of 2011, TJ grabbed a peppermint mocha frappuccino and offered me a taste. Whoa. It was insanely good. So good, in fact, that we went back into Starbucks to get one of my own.

Over the last 3 years, I’ve grown to like coffee quite a bit more, but I still prefer it to be loaded with all kinds of flavors. These White Chocolate Mochas sure do hit the spot on a chilly day, and the white chocolate adds a nice smoothness to the drink. In short, this is my kind of coffee.

Printable Recipe
Serves 2

1 1/2 cups milk
3 oz white chocolate chips
2 tbsp instant coffee granules
1 tsp vanilla
whipped cream, if desired
chocolate syrup, if desired

Heat the milk over medium heat, until bubbles form around the sides. Do not boil.

Add the white chocolate chips, instant coffee, and vanilla in a blender.

Pour in the hot milk and blend until frothy.

Pour into a mug and garnish with whipped cream and/or chocolate syrup if desired. Enjoy!
