I’m really happy to be making an exciting announcement today: I’m now offering custom Google Analytics reports for your blog or website! Even if you haven’t been blogging for very long, you’ve likely heard about the importance of understanding Google Analytics. The only problem is that, while incredibly helpful, Google Analytics also happens to be really confusing if you’re not familiar with it. It can be hard to find the exact information you’re looking for, and clicking around usually leads to more confusion than answers.
Luckily, I’m here to help! I’ve been producing custom Google Analytics reports for a local marketing company since I lost my job earlier this year, and it recently hit me that this could be something of use to the blogging community. I’m offering 3 options: a 1-month view, 3-month view, and 6-month view.
Let’s talk about the benefits of these reports:
-You can use the info to help market yourself to companies you want to work with
-You can see the exact effects of sponsoring blogs, and if you’re getting your money’s worth
-You can see what’s working for your blog, and what’s not working, so you can make adjustments as needed
-You can see which forms of social media are bringing the most visitors to your blog
-You can see which types of posts are bringing in the most traffic
-You can see a truly accurate view of your traffic stats (Note: This is especially helpful for blogs through Blogger – pageviews tend to be inflated on Blogger, and it’s important to know what your actual pageviews are. Trust me, I learned this one the hard way, when I thought I was getting significantly more pageviews than I actually was. You can learn more about the discrepancy here)
…and more!
Let’s talk about the 3 options available:
1-month: Straight-forward look at traffic stats, user behavior, top landing pages, and top referring sites for a month of your choosing. This is ideal if you’ve spent money sponsoring a blog and want to see exactly what you got out of it.
3-month: Overview of traffic stats, user behavior, top landing pages, and top referring sites for a 3 month period of your choosing. This is great for taking a look at patterns that are developing, and seeing what adjustments you might want to make.
6-month: Even more in-depth look at traffic stats, user behavior, top landing pages, and top referring sites for a 6 month period of your choosing. This is perfect for looking at established patterns, measuring growth over time, and pinpointing the types of posts most popular with your readers.
Let’s talk about what exactly you’re getting:
In short, you’ll be getting a 2-3 page report with all kinds of info that falls into the categories listed above. There will be some graphs, as well as a short analysis from me on what it all means. I’ll also include a quick reference “cheat sheet” about what each category actually means, and why it’s important to look into it.
The report will be customized to your blog’s colors and overall scheme (aka pretty). Also, if you’re looking for something specific (ex. Top Landing Pages via Facebook, Top Locations of Visitors, etc) let me know, and we can definitely talk about adding those customizations so you are getting the most out of your report.
So, how do you get one?
It’s so easy! Hop on over to the Advertising/Reporting Services page and purchase a report through Passionfruit. See, it really couldn’t be easier. Once you’ve purchased a report, I’ll send you an email with all the details on how to grant me access to Google Analytics, and we can get started. If you haven’t connected your site to Google Analytics, you’ll need to do it immediately (I can help you with that too!), because it only starts tracking your stats from the day you connect your site. If you haven’t connected it, but still want a report, I can help get you set up, and then I can do the report once a month has gone by.
Do you have any questions?
Seriously, don’t hesitate to ask! While I certainly don’t know everything there is to know, I’ve been working on these kinds of reports for a while now, and I’ve grown to really enjoy it, so I would be happy to answer your questions.
Also, if you want to see an example of a report, I’d be happy to share one with you!
Bonus!!
The first 15 people that order reports can 15% off their first order with the promo code reporting, so get on it!
Do you use Google Analytics? If you know anyone who might be interested in these reports, please spread the word!

Good to know. My guy is a jeweller, and I’ve recently launched a website. I’m teaching myself a lot, but this is one area I can use some help. May be in touch with you sometime soon!

I love this because I struggle with understanding google analytics. Right now I am on a spending freeze but I would love to use you in the future.
