When Two Introverts Fall in Love

163789_10150130654077457_285757_nWhen two introverts fall in love, the whole process is pretty slow. After all, dating someone new pushes you out of your comfort zone, and comfort zones are typically an introvert’s permanent residence.

When two introverts fall in love, dates almost always consist of renting a movie or blowing through the DVR, and making dinner together or ordering take-out.

When two introverts fall in love, it’ll take a while for either one of them to admit it out loud, but once it’s said, there’s absolutely no hesitation behind it.

When two introverts are in love, they’ll be perfectly happy to sit next to each other without saying much, because sometimes it’s nice to be alone in your own thoughts, together.

When two introverts are in love, they bond over scheming together to come up with ways to get out of going to social gatherings.

When two introverts get engaged, the proposal will likely be in private, between just the two of them.

When two introverts plan a wedding, they’ll happily agree to only invite the necessary people, in order to keep the guest list as small as possible.

When two introverts get married, they’ll probably whisper sweet little things back and forth to each other during the ceremony to help deal with the uncomfortable feeling of standing in front everyone.

When two introverts get married, their favorite part of the night will be sharing a private moment together right after the ceremony to take everything in before getting back to the celebration.

When two introverts are married, there’s a quiet shared happiness in knowing that you’ve found someone who wants to stay in almost every night just as much as you do.

When two introverts are married, a ridiculous amount of inside jokes are shared and referenced daily, because you finally know someone else’s mind as well as you know your own.

When two introverts are married, it’s kind of a match made in heaven.

I have to share this with my friend – she will love it! I just tried getting her to date a friend and it was soooo slow and everything was her pace and that is all TOTALLY okay but I am definitely NOT an introvert so I didn’t understand it. When reading this post, I immediately thought of her! lol.

Well, this is beautiful!! I used to think I’d be better off w/an extrovert but if I don’t like going out NOW, what makes me think I’ll be in the mood to do so (and often) later on–even w/an extrovert by my side? Been there, no me gustó hehe..

Thanks for this post, Ashley; it’s perfect!

This is fun!!! I love the inside jokes one. Joe and I have a few inside jokes and we giggle when we’re with people and they say something that sparks that and then it’s fun to be laughing together even though everyone around you has no idea what is going on.

This is so sweet. My husband is somewhere in between – he definitely requires more social interaction than I do!
