Holiday Bucket List

Holiday-Bucket-List
Happy Monday! With the holidays literally right around the corner, I’m in full-blown celebration mode. I want to take advantage of the next week and half by cramming in as many fun holiday activities as possible, and I’m going to try to start with these 10 holiday bucket list items:

1. Watch 3 Christmas movies
If I have to narrow it down to 3, I’d choose Home Alone 2A Christmas Story, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the animated version). Elf gets an honorable mention, if I can squeeze in 4 movies.

2. Drive around to look at lights
Preferably on an extra chilly night, while sipping on hot chocolate.

3. Do an unexpected good deed
Maybe I’ll buy the drink of the person behind me at Starbucks, or maybe I’ll surprise TJ by doing some housework that he’s been dreading. As long as it’s unexpected, it counts.

4. Holiday baking with Mom
I’m actually doing this one today! So looking forward to baking fun stuff with her, and then watching cheesy holiday Lifetime movies afterward.

5. Drink peppermint hot chocolate
If I can top it with peppermint whipped cream, it’d be even better.

6. Make a special homemade gift
I’ve got a couple ideas in mind to make something homemade for TJ this year. A few years ago, I made this Eucalyptus Mint Sugar Scrub for my mom and it was a lot of fun to see how excited she was about something homemade.

7. Listen to my favorite holiday song
…and sing along, of course. My all-time favorite Christmas song is Merry Christmas Darling by The Carpenters. I could listen to it on repeat all December and never get tired of it!

8. Make the neighbors some cookies
I’m hoping to drop off lots of the goodies that my mom and I make today some time this week.

9. Add a new ornament to the tree
I can check this one off – TJ’s mom made us a new ornament, I made one with her when we were in NY, and my mom got me a couple new ones too. I love new ornament memories!

10. Spend lots of time with family
This is my favorite part of the whole holiday season, of course. I’m so excited to spend tons of time with TJ and my parents over the next week and a half, and to Skype with TJ’s mom since we can’t be with her in person. If I only end up doing one thing off this list, I want it to be number 10.

What’s on your holiday bucket list? What’s your favorite holiday movie and holiday song?

I love your holiday list! I have a few more movies that I just have to watch by Christmas! I also need to finish shopping! Oops! I really wanted to do some crafts but I don’t think I will get around to it…
