A look back at June 2-8…

5 things we ate:
June-2-8-Collage1-text
1. Vegetable-stuffed zucchini topped with breadcrumbs and goat cheese
2. A snack I haven’t had since my Florida days – boiled peanuts
3. Lemon thyme turkey with potatoes, brussel sprouts, and asparagus
4. Meatball subs and a side salad
5. A delicious breakfast complete with TJ’s famous hash browns (he seriously won’t even tell me what spices he uses!)

4 blog posts I enjoyed reading:
1. Lauren’s list of blogger problems
2. Chelsea’s awesome response to a negative review and ideas about the beauty of fiction (Her book, by the way, was great! I couldn’t disagree more with the negative review!)
3.  Melanie’s fun summer bucket list
4. Betsy’s insanely helpful advice on setting freelance prices

3 forms of media consumed:
Read – How to Eat a Cupcake by Meg Donohue (about 135 pages in so far)
Watched – The NBA finals
Listened to – Ridiculous amounts of morning talk show radio programs (one of my guilty pleasures)

2 nail colors I wore:
June2-8 Collage2
1. OPI, Tickle My France-y
2. Butter London, Dahling

1 thing I want to remember from the last week:
TJ and I went on a date to see The Fault in Our Stars (along with pretty much every person ever), and it was just so good. I thought it did the book justice, and it had me captivated from beginning to end, exactly like the book did. Bonus – TJ really liked it too, and I think it helped both of us to appreciate our time together a little more.

Have you seen The Fault in Our Stars? Have you ever tried boiled peanuts?

I loved The Fault in Our Stars! The movie definitely did the book justice.

I have never had boiled peanuts, but they sell them EVERYWHERE here (in SC).

I totally agree! Usually it’s hard for the movie to live up to the book, but in this case, I thought it was pretty great. You’ll have to give boiled peanuts a try some time – they’re weirdly delicious!

I hope Colin likes it!! It really didn’t have too much of a “girly movie” feel, so that helps. Hope you guys get to go see it soon – it’s SO good!
