Twenty-Six

I turned twenty-six today (9,497 days, for those counting). Twenty-six. That sounds decidedly older than twenty-five to me, but I think I’m ok with it. I’ve never had too much of a problem with getting older. Maybe it’s because birthdays are so much fun, that I usually just gloss over the fact that I’m aging? Or maybe it’s because my husband is two years older than me, so compared to him I’ll always be the young one?

Thank you for that, TJ.

Either way, I’m twenty-six now, whether I like it or not, so I’m going to embrace it! In a few years, twenty-six will feel impossibly young, so I’m going to rock for the next 364 days.

I’ll spend some time this week talking about what we did to celebrate, but for now, I thought it’d be fun to take a look at my life so far, by the numbers.

0 – siblings
1 – husband
2 – parents
3 – pets (currently)
4 – Steelers games attended
5 – jobs held
7 – schools attended
13 – houses lived in
18 – months married
26 – years alive
243 – blog posts to date

If my first day of being twenty-six is any indication, it’s going to be a good year.
